Mud The mud used by the Hotel Terme Bellavista is monitored by the University of Padua's Permanent Spa Observatory, which oversees quality control and the maturation process of the spa mud. Its physical chemical structure is that of "MATURE MUD", which guarantees its therapeutic properties and makes it ideal for pain-relieving, muscle-relaxing and anti-inflammatory therapies. After application, the mud is left on for around 15 minutes, then removed with a spa shower. This is followed by a dip in the SPA BATH lasting 8 to 10 minutes at temperatures of around 36 – 38°C, which is essential due to the soothing effect the spa water has on muscles (the addition of OZONE to the water also has a vasodilating effect, which stimulates blood circulation). A stimulating massage after "sudoral reactions" is recommended to heighten nervous and muscular activity. The most common ailments treated include: OSTEOARTHROSIS, OSTEOPOROSIS, ARTHRITIS, ARTHROSIS AND EXTRA-ARTICULAR RHEUMATISM.
